“The Relation between Mothers’ Knowledge and Administrative Practices and Sons’ Administrative Practices in The University Stage in Port Said”

Abstract

This research aims to study the relation between mothers’ knowledge and administrative practices and sons’ administrative practices in the university stage in Port Said city through the following secondary objectives: Studying the level of mothers’ knowledge and administrative practices in the study sample regarding management of some materials, studying the level of sons’ and administrative practices at the sample of the study, studying the relation between both administrative knowledge for mothers and administrative skills for sons and relation between both administrative practices for mothers and administrative skills for sons.
The following study adopts the descriptive analytical approach as it suits the subject of the study. The geographical scope of the study is determined in Port Said City as the selected sample includes 200 male and female students from the faculty of Specific Education and Faculty of Kindergarten and on 200 of their mothers. Field study was carried out during the second term of the academic year 2013/2004. Date were collected using questionnaire interviews and the most important results include: there are statistically significant differences at level 0.05 in mothers’ administrative knowledge with age difference for the sake of age category (40 – less than 50 years old), there are statistically significant differences at level 0.05 in mothers’ administrative knowledge with income difference for the sake of income level (2000 – less than 4000), there are no differences in mothers’ administrative knowledge with parents’ education, job difference or family members, there are statistically significant differences between average marks of the married and the unmarried women in mothers’ administrative knowledge, there are no statistically significant differences in mothers’ administrative practices with the difference in (age, parents’ education and job, income and family members), there are no statistically significant differences in sons’ administrative skills with the difference in variables of sporting and social activity and hobbies, there are no statistically significant differences between average marks of Faculty of Specific Education and Kindergarten’s students regarding sons’ administrative skills, there are no statistically significant differences between average marks of males and females average marks regarding sons’ administrative skills, there is a statistically significant difference at level 0.05 between average marks for sons who work in vacations and those who do not work in terms of sons’ administrative skills for the sake of those who work in vacations and there is a statistically significant positive linking relation at level 0.01 between mothers’ administrative knowledge and practices and sons’ skills.
