Determinants of the Quality of Professional Life for Agricultural Extension Workers in the Governorates of Sharkia and North Sinai

Abstract

The research mainly aimed to study the determinants of the quality of professional life for agricultural extension workers in the governorates of Sharkia and North Sinai, by identifying some personal, economic and social characteristics of the respondents in the Sharkia and North Sinai governorates, and determining the availability of levels of quality of professional life from the point of view of the respondents in the two research areas, and determining the moral differences between the dimensions of The quality of the studied professional life from the point of view of the respondents in the two research areas, as well as determining the correlation between the (degrees) dimensions of the quality of professional life and the independent variables studied in the two research areas, and finally identifying the degree of the relative contribution of the studied independent variables in the interpretation of the total variance between the respondents in the (degrees) dimensions The quality of professional life in the two research areas, and a sample of 10% of the total number of respondents was taken and its size reached 105 respondents in a systematic random manner in the governorates of Sharqia and North Sinai, the total number of them is 1028 agricultural extension agents (473 guides in Sharkia Governorate, 555 guides in North Sinai Governorate), and the questionnaire was used by personal interview. To collect data, many statistical methods have been used to analyze research data to Achieving its objectives and testing its hypotheses, including descriptive statistics methods and the simple correlation coefficient, as well as using the relative congruence coefficient (K2) and the step-wise multiple regression analysis. In the governorates of Sharkia and North Sinai, in the dimensions (moral incentives, delegation of authority and flexibility in work, adequacy of the material capabilities of the work environment, and social skills of agricultural extension workers), it was found that there are four independent variables that contribute to explaining the variation in (degrees) standards of the quality of professional life of the respondents in my areas The research, and these variables were able to explain 27.5% of the variance in the degree of quality of professional life standards for the respondents in the two research areas and these variables are (exposure to information sources, tendency towards counseling work, motivation to achieve, job satisfaction).
