Abstract
The research mainly aimed to study the buildings of the Faculty of Agriculture - Alexandria University in terms of their interior and exterior design in terms of orienting the building towards the four main directions and the surrounding environment, construction materials, finishing materials, and materials used in it, and studying the colors used internally in walls, paints and furniture. Temperature, humidity and lighting intensity were also measured. interiorly.
The comprehensiveness of this research was represented in the total buildings constituting the college of different heights and geographic orientation angles. A number of 73 administrative offices and their occupants were selected from among the employees, and they were obtained in a random way that included a diversity of exterior and interior design.
The questionnaire was used as a tool to obtain research data, and the data was analyzed using the SPSS program, and the results resulted in the following:-
- The results showed that 38% of the total buildings contained only two floors, while 33% of the offices were oriented to the southern side, and the results also indicated that there were garden-type spaces that amounted to 43%, and it was also found that the percentage of the quality of finishing The external walls of the building are made out of stone, which amounted to 66%.
- On the other hand, it was found from the results that the number of   administrative offices for the study site located in the ground floor amounted to 32%, and the ratio of the first category of the distribution of workers within the offices to the presence of one to three individuals inside the office was 57%, and it was the largest percentage of the distribution of the administrative offices under study according to the original directions in the direction east by 37%, and 31 offices of the research sample had an area of ​​11-20 square meters with 40% of the total sample, while the number of offices containing from 2 to 3 offices, and that was 51% of the total sample, as for the seats inside the offices it contained From 6-7 of the research sample rooms on 30 seats, 33% of the total sample, and in the case of file storage cabinets, it was found that there are 70 offices containing file storage places by 92%, and 44% of the offices contained only one corridor.
