An Experimental Study of Positive Development Program for Youth by using Social Media (Facebook) to enhance their Participation in Development as per Vision of (2030)

Abstract

Youth play a big role in developing community, as they are the future basis; accordingly their skills and capacities shall be developed, accordingly this research aims at studying efficiency of a positive development program for youth to enhance their participation in development as per vision of (2030), and to achieve this goal, a questionnaire form was used to study some personal characteristics of the researched youth and socioeconomic characteristics of their families, identifying youth knowledge levels related to positive development, community participation , measuring their social development factors, their fact of participation in community development, studying family and community factors encouraging positive development and community participation, youth opinions in social efforts related to their positive development and motives and restrictions of youth participation in community development; in addition to preparing , executing and evaluating a training program of positive development for youth the research experimental sample (33 students) of faculty  of agriculture, Alexandria University as the research used the analytical descriptive method and the semi experimental method and spss version 25 was used to carry out statistical coefficients.
The results proved that (87.9 %) of the experimental research sample ageing (21- < 23 years) and that (97 %) were females and students whose monthly salary between (200 - < 700) were 63.6 % and that (39.4 %) of the researched sample males' fathers aged (55 - < 60 years) and (36.4 %)
of the researched sample males  mothers aged (45- < 50 years) and (30.3%) of fathers work at governmental sector, and (66.6 %) of the research sample mothers are house wives, and the percentage  average monthly income of family (5000 pounds or more)  reached (30.3 %) and  (46%) has average knowledge about positive development and (70%) has average knowledge about positive development factors and (54.5%) were not participants of community activities and (48.5%)  had  good family environment contributed to encouraging them to positive development and community  participation and (54.5 %) believe that the university environment is average and (42.4%) believe that the community environment may encourage positive development and community participation somewhat. 
The results proved the efficiency of the training program prepared to develop youth knowledge about positive development and community participation as there were statistical significant difference between pre and post evaluation results for the experimental group in the level of their knowledge about social, professional, academic and cognitive efficiency, communication, personality, trust and values in the interest of post evaluation.     
The study recommended the necessity of organizing campaigns guiding parents to care of their sons and daughters educationally an behaviorally and informing family members via school ministry of social affairs center, TV programs and other media and linking university study to youth training needs to meet labor market needs and encourage youth to community participation.
