The Relationship of The Level of Cleanliness of The Residential Environment and Awareness of Household Solid Waste Management with The Quality of Life for A Sample of Housewives in Alexandria Governorate

This research was conducted to study the relationship of both the level of cleanliness of the residential environment and awareness of household solid waste management with the quality of life for a sample of housewives in Alexandria Governorate. The studied sample consisted of a random sample of 200 housewives, and the data was collected using a questionnaire by personal interview. The research results showed the following:
- There is an inverse significant relationship at the probability level 0.01 between each of the age of the housewives of households and the practices of the housewives towards the management and disposal of household solid waste. There was also a significant inverse relationship between the profession of the husband and the practices of the housewives towards the management and disposal of household solid waste. It was found that there is a direct significant relationship at the probability level of 0.05 between the age of the housewives and the attitude of the housewives towards the disposal of household solid waste, and a direct significant relationship was found at the probability level of 0.05 between the age of the housewives, the original domicile, and the practices of the housewives to manage household waste.
- There is a direct significant relationship at the probability level of 0.05 between the attitudes of housewives towards the management and disposal of household solid waste and the overall quality of life, as it was found that there is a significant inverse relationship at the probability level of 0.05 between each of the cultural openness and the overall quality of life.
- There is a direct significant relationship at the probability level 0.01 between the original home of the housewives and with each of the health quality of life, psychological quality of life, quality of residential life, and overall quality of life. It was found that there is an inverse significant relationship at the probability level 0.05 between the profession of the husband and the degree of satisfaction of the housewives with quality of life.
- There is a direct significant relationship at the probability level 0.05 between each of the attitudes of housewives towards the disposal of household solid waste and each of the healthy quality of life, psychological quality of life, quality of residential life, and overall quality of life. It was found that there is an inverse significant relationship at the probability level of 0.05 between the degree of cultural openness and the quality of healthy life, psychological quality of life, and overall quality of life.
