Rural Leaders Realization of the Importance of using Information and Communication Technology in Obtaining Agricultural Information in Some Villages of El.Amria Earia Alexandria Governorate

this research aimed mainly to identify the rural leader’s realization of the importance of using information and communication technology in obtaining agricultural information. the study was carried out for achieving the following :1-to identify objectives some characteristics of respondents.2-to identify the respondent knowledge degree of the benefits of information and communication technology 3-identify the respondents opinion on the importance of using information and communication technology in obtaining agricultural information 4-to determine the respondents realization level of the importance of using information and communication technology in obtaining agricultural information 5- study the statistical relationship between some studied independent variables and the dependent variable.
Data were collecting by using questionnaire through personal interview with 135 rural leader. Data were analyzed statistically by using percentages, frequencies, arithmetic mean, stander deviation, simple correlation coefficient, and multiple correlation and regression analysis (step-wise).the main findings were as follows:
1-57.1% from respondent have high level of knowledge degree of the benefits of information and communication technology  
2-44.4% from respondent have medium opinion on the importance of using information and communication technology in obtaining agricultural information and (14.1%) are high.
3-50.4% the level of respondents’ realization of the importance of using information and communication technology in obtaining agricultural information are medium, and (20.7%) are high
4-there are three independent variables: the degree of knowledge benefits of using information and communication technology, the goal of using information and communication technology, degree of extension communication explained 80.4% in their variance of realization of the importance of using information and communication technology in obtaining agricultural information is high and medium
5-there are some obstacles facing the respondents benefits of information and communication technologyas : slow internet speed , the high costs of subscribing to the internet in the area , blurring of some agricultural ideas posted online ,as following (69.6%) , (67.4%) , (63%).
