Abstract

The capture fisheries production reached about 377 thousand tons, representing about 19.3% of the total Egyptian fish production, which amounted to about 1.8 million tons in 2018, while the production from fish farming reached about 1.5 million tons, representing about 80.7% of the total fish production. The total production from Lake Burullus in 2018 amounted to about 1.9 million tons in 2018, and the total production from Lake Burullus in 2018 amounted to about 71.4 thousand tons, and the total production of the North Delta Lakes in 2018 was about 152.6 thousand. Tons, and the total production of Egyptian lakes in 2018 was about 195,000 tons.
The total production from Manzala Lake in 2001 amounted to about 68.4 thousand tons, and in 2018 reached about 65 thousand tons, with an average of about 55.9 thousand tons. The total number of boats in Manzala Lake in 2001 reached about 3.26 thousand boats, and in 2018 about 1 69 thousand boats, with an average of about 7.65 thousand boats, and with the estimation of the equation of the time direction of the boats, it was found that the best models are the linear model, where (y) represents the estimated production and (x1) represents the number of boats, and their statistically insignificance was found due to the widespread phenomenon of overfishing in the lake.
The price of a ton of fish in Lake Burullus in 2001 was about 7.98 thousand pounds, and its price in 2018 was about 27.17 thousand pounds, with an average price of about 13.79 thousand pounds during the study period. Burullus shows that the best model is the linear model where (y) represents the estimated production and (x3) represents the price per ton of fish, and means that a 1% change leads to an increase in production by 0.791 thousand tons, and its significance was found statistically at the probability level of 1%.
The political leadership in interested since 2014 with Environmental status specially with developing Egyptian lakes rising its efficiency and increasing its production starting firstly with lake Manzala then lake Burullus.
