Prospective Role of Agricultural Extension in The Field of Sheep Husbandry among Farmers' Wives in Kafr- Shehata, Tala District, Elmounifia Governorate

Abstract

This study aims mainly at knowing the potential extension role between the farmer's wives concerning the field of sheep raising in kafr shehata,tala distrect, elmonofya governorate, which would be achieved through the following sub targets:
1- Knowing some distinctive personal characteristics of the interviewers and studying their standard of knowledge related to the field of sheep raising.   
2- Knowing their experience and its relation with their personal characteristics.
3- Knowing the main problems concerned with sheep raising field from their point of view.
      The research population consisted of 80 of the sheep raising women in the village and at the same time it considerd the sample, questionnaire was used to collect data needed by personal interview:
Percentage, frequency, table, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and simple correlation were used to analyze data.
 
The following are the most important results: 
Firstly: The application levels for the farmer's wives:
Concerning the level of application the results showed that more than (51,25%) have fair application level as The grades ranged between(16-22). For the good level of application category which obtained grades above (22) reached(21,25%) but the poor level of application has  reached (27,5%).
Secondly: The sociable economical and communicative                              characteristics and its relationship with standards of   Application of the respondents:
      The results showed that there is asignificant correlation between the the application level of respondents regarding sheep raising and the following characteristics:
"participation of family decisions, number of animal units, AHitudes toward sheep raising and fatalism."
