Abstract

Iraqi Costumes is like a demonstration of cultural and art as a cultural document. It carries high-value visual texts came across thousands of years rolled by generations. Despite all these changes that affected them it was an important factor and a key role in maintaining the living memory and the history of Iraq. Because they represent a source of culturally significant sources of Metropolitan heritage. Iraqi popular costumes very significantly in one of Iraq's cities. But differ in different regions, and the geographical distribution of the population, and the multiplicity of religious groups and sects, as well as the economic situation. Despite the overlap of each of these elements but the people can be identified on a national and area residents through their clothes. Despite these differences, the clothes they are similar in the general design shape and customized public and religious concepts as well a traditional geographical of each and they unite in a special costume which represents the Iraqi identity. Hence the idea of ​​this research threw light on the side of the rich and important heritage of Iraq, which is a popular fashion in the city Syriac Baghdida "Qaraqosh", because of its specificity of two-dimensions: (1) belonging to their assets they Arameans origin and (2) bearing the roots of Iraqi heritage
