Marketing Efficiency of Potatoesi Dakahlia Governorate

Abstract

 Potato crop is of important strategic vegetable crops in Egypt dakahlia governorate. third place in terms of the relative importance of the cultivated area of potatoes with a potato about 44.65 a vdantmathl towards the total area of 9.76 potatoes in Egypt. while some 48.55% of the total area of vegetables in the same County and some 91.96 a acre by 2015. research problem was at the height of the marketing margins and reduced efficiency during marketing marketing stages. high rate of wastage during marketing operations. the search was designed to estimate the efficiency Marketing and marketing of waste potatoes in dakahlia governorate at the level of producers and wholesalers                        
The most important results: the total cost of special marketing services balmantginblght about 990 pounds per tonne. and the price of buying tons of potato around 4100 l/ton. ton selling price amounted to potato wholesale market in Mansoura. about 5000 pounds per tonne. the difference about absolute catalog 773 pounds/tonne. The difference of relative catalog about 15 percent. the retailer accounted for about 84. 5% efficient product marketing amounted to about 58. 72%. total wastage quantitative catalog 41. 73 tons represent about 3. 37% of the total quantities suitable for marketing of potatoes at the level of producers and the major views on reducing Losses were not leaving the potatoes that have been its extract without a cover during the night. The retailer accounted for around 90. 41%. and price ramping 10. 59% as efficient wholesaler marketing amounted to about 65. 67% for potatoes. and study the waste catalogue to wholesaler level potato crop turns out to be the highest level loss wholesaler was if purchased for potatoes from the dealer Local waste volume 33. 83 tons represent about 2. 47% of the total quantities treated wholesaler with potatoes and approximately 1370 tonnes. the opinions of the wholesalers.
In the light of the findings of this research recommends the following:
1-The transportation of crops production for marketing venues to be fitted with the means of cooling to reduce spoiled ones. especially as most perishable vegetables and crops through cooperative societies.
2-Collection centres with potatoes in each region with the establishment   of markets for new areas sentence with attention to maintenance of roads that connect new areas in the market.
3-Provide an information base about the prices and availability of various vegetable crops major markets and the media radio marketing information to educate farmers.
4-The interest of different marketing processes especially when tradingthe crop across different marketing stages to reduce the volume of waste.
