The Opinions of The Experts of Human Resource Management of Agricultural Companies in Required Core Competencies for Graduates of The Agricultural Faculties

Abstract

This study aims to identify the opinions of human resources management experts in agricultural companies to determine the core competencies required for graduates of agricultural faculties, to qualify them for the labor market, through the following sub-objectives: (1) Extracting the concept of core competencies from the scientific literature. (2) Determining the most important core competencies required in the labor market from the scientific literature. (3) Determining the most important core competencies required in the labor market from the point of view of human resources specialists in agricultural companies. Extensive research was represented in all HR professionals in agricultural companies. Which makes it difficult to determine the overall numbers. The link to the Microsoft form of the electronic questionnaire for agricultural companies was sent to their announced e-mail, and it was determined that it was directed to the human resources specialists in the company, and the number of responses was 153. Data were processed and analyzed using Excel to calculate frequencies and percentage. The results showed that the most important core competencies required in graduates are: (1) the good communication, (2) flexibility, (3) time management, (4) discipline, (5) ability to achieve, (6) Problem Solving, (7) continuous learning, (8) Planning skills, (9) presentation, (10) analytical thinking. The study concluded with the following recommendations: (1) inclusion of the ten core competencies required in the labor market, in the educational programs of agricultural colleges. (2) Reviewing the educational programs of the colleges of agriculture on a regular basis.
