Editor Guide Video

The journal publishes original scientific papers, short communications, up-to-date review articles, and selective book reviews from the disciplines concerned. Papers are published in English or Arabic and manuscripts have to contain English and Arabic abstracts (including keywords).

The author is fully responsible for the originality of the paper, its subject, and formal correctness. The author’s declaration that the paper has not been submitted anywhere else should be enclosed in the cover letter. The Editorial Board decides on the publication of papers, taking into account peer reviews, scientific importance, and manuscript quality. The SI international system of measurement units should be used. The manuscript should be submitted in MS Word text editor to Alexexchange@yahoo.com.

Copyright Policy:

The journal is protected by copyright held by the publisher after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. As concerns the transfer of rights, the corresponding author takes responsibility for all authors. The journal allows the author(s) to hold the copyright, and to retain publishing rights without any restrictions.

MANUSCRIPT

All manuscripts should be written in English. The original and two copies should be submitted or electronically to Alexexchange@yahoo.com. The preferred order of presentation is as follows: Title page (titles, names of authors, their affiliations and complete addresses), Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Acknowledgment, References, Tables, Figure legends and copies of figures. All pages should be typewritten, double-spaced, with a wide left-hand margin of 4 cm. Pages should be numbered consecutively.

TITLE

A short title, not exceeding 12 words, is required. It must accurately describe the manuscript contents. Authors should also supply a shortened version of the title suitable for a running title, not exceeding 50 character spaces.

ABSTRACT

An informative abstract not exceeding 250 words must be supplied on a separate page.

KEYWORDS

(A maximum of six, in alphabetical order, suitable for indexing) should differ from words mentioned in the title.

TABLES

Each table should be typed on a separate page and numbered consecutively. Do not duplicate matter presented in charts or graphs. The symbols*, **, *** are used to show statistical significance at 0.05, 0.01 and 0.001 levels, respectively, and are not used for other footnotes.

FIGURES

All illustrations should be numbered consecutively and referred to in the text. Drawings should be completely lettered, the size of the lettering being appropriate to that of the drawings but taking into account the possible need for reduction in size (preferably not more than 50%). Photographs must be of good quality, printed on glossy print.

REFERENCES

Literature citations should follow the author-year system. All published works referred to in the text must be listed. The list of references should include names of all authors, year of publication, complete title, publication or journal title and inclusive pages. The citations should be given in alphabetical order keeping in mind the following:

  1. Single-authored articles should precede multiple-author articles for which the individual is a senior author. Examples: Liang Y.C., Q.R. Shen, Z.G. Shen, and T.S.Ma.1996. Effects of silicon on salinity tolerance of two barley cultivars. J. Plant Nutr.19:173-183.
  2. Chapter references from books must include author (s), year, chapter, title, pages, editor (s), book title, publisher and city. Examples: LinskensH. F. and J.F.Jackson.1992. Seed Analyses. Springer-Verlag, Berlin, Heidelberg.
  3. Symposium proceedings should include editor, date, and place of symposium, publisher and page numbers.

Compliance with these instructions is obligatory for all authors. If a manuscript does not comply exactly with the above requirements, the Editorial Office will not accept it and will return it to the authors without review.
