The Extent of Agricultural Extension Agents’ Readiness to Use The Smart Farmer Card System as A Form of Digital Extension in Sharkia Governorate

The objective of this research identify to some of the personal of agricultural extension workers. Advantages of using the smart farmer card from the perspective of agricultural extension agents. The level of readiness of agricultural extension agents to use the SFC. and to analyze the correlation between the level of readiness of agricultural extension sgents to use the SFC  and each of the studied independent variables. and the contribution of each independent variables that demonstrated a significant correlation in explaining the total variables in the level of readiness of agricultural extension agents to use the SFC in the agricultural sector. The stidy also examined the extension methods and tools employed to raise farmers’ awareness and disseminate the SFC system. identified the constraints hindering its use from the perspective of extension workers. and assessed the extent to which the necessary requirements for implementing the SFC are available. This research was conducted in Sharkia Governorate on the staff of the agricultural extension system. whose total number amount to 473 extension workers. From the population. a research sample was selected using the Krejcie and Morgan formula. resulting in a total of 214 respondents. Date was collected by personal interview using the questionnaire during February and March 2025. To statistically analyze the date. use frequency tables. percentages. arithmetic mean. the simple correlation coefficient. the T test. the Anova test. and Step wise. The most important results of this research: 77.6% of the respondents had a moderate level of readiness to use the SFC. 0.01 has a positive correlation with degree of flexibility. 0.05 has a positive correlation with number of training courses. The study revealed that 58.4% of the respondents demonstrated a moderate level of utilization of extension methods and tools in raising farmers’ awareness and promoting the dissemination of the smart card system.
